Moore Park township stretches some 8
kilometres along the glorious 17 kilometres of Moore Park Beach. This is
undoubtedly the regions best beach and it's location only 20 minutes from
the regional city of Bundaberg makes it an ideal holiday destination. |
|
The unspoiled beach faces north east and is
bounded by the Kolan River to the north and the Moore Park Creek to the
south. This offers estuary as well as beach fishing opportunities. 4WDriving
is permitted on the beach outside of the township areas for easy access to
both. There are excellent public parks, linked walkways and car access
points to the beach. |
|
The beach is rated in the least hazardous
category by Surf Life Saving Australia. The Surf Club here is very active
and hosts many surf carnivals and events. The Club House is available for
private bookings. The beach
in front is patrolled in the holidays. |
|
Dogs are permitted on the beach outside the
bathing reserve area if they are on a lead. We have three accommodation
properties that allow you to bring your dog. Please see the side links for, "Sundowner",
"Poppys" and "Palm Cottage". Normal dog etiquette applies!
